Working Principle of Hot water uf system

Dual-Stage Filtration

  • Surface Screening : Large particulates (>0.1 µm) retained on membrane surface
  • Depth Trapping : Smaller colloids captured within the membrane matrix

Crossflow Operation

  • 20% concentrate recirculation maintains flow velocity (2–3 m/s) to prevent scaling
  • Periodic air-water backpulses (every 15–60 mins) dislodge fouling layers

Preheated Feed Entry

  • Hot water enters the UF module through UPVC headers, with temperature monitored via integrated sensors.

Thermal Management

  • Automated cooling loop activates if inlet exceeds 45°C
  • Steam-in-place (SIP) capability for periodic sanitization at 80°C
